Archery GB Instructor Course

Would you love to learn how to lead archery sessions? Then come along to our beginners instructors course! The Archery GB Instructor Award is the industry’s leading training course for archery. The course is designed for learners with little or no prior experience of archery.
What’s involved?
You will be trained and assessed by accredited Archery GB coaches who will show you how to:
How to shoot arrows
How to prepare and deliver archery sessions
How to select appropriate equipment
How to set up a range
How to ensure safety on the range
You will be able to lead fun and safe archery sessions for beginners. Learners must be at least 17 years old by the first day of the course. The successful learner will gain an Archery GB Instructor licence which lasts for three years.
What’s included
The course fees include accommodation and catering across the weekend. Please let us know of any dietary requirements when booking. The course takes place in the Wet Weather Hall at Scout Adventures Fordell Firs and all equipment and documentation are included in the course fee.
Schedule
Friday 17th January: evening practice session after dinner at 7:30pm
Saturday 18th January: 9am-5pm
Sunday 19th January: 9am-5pm
Funding
If you are a Scout member you can apply for up to a third of the course cost.
