The West Region Support Group is an exciting new way for adults over 18 to get involved in Scouting without the full commitment of being a leader.

It’s a flexible, rewarding role that adapts to your skills, interests, and availability – giving you the chance to make a real difference while fitting around your life.

This is volunteering with variety. One week you could be lending a hand at a camp or District event, the next helping with catering, sharing a practical skill, or simply giving support where it’s most needed.

Whether you enjoy the buzz of big gatherings or the satisfaction of working behind the scenes, there’s a place for you.

No Scouting background? No problem. You don’t need to have been a Scout or have previous experience – just enthusiasm, a willingness to help, and a desire to support young people.

The West Region Support Group works across Group, District, and Regional levels, creating a pool of skilled and willing volunteers ready to step in and strengthen Scouting whenever needed.

From event support and resource management to passing on adventurous skills, every contribution enhances the Scouting experience for both young people and leaders.

Regional Lead Volunteer James Cumming said: “If you want a flexible, practical, and fun way to be part of something bigger, this is it.

“This is a superb opportunity to make a difference in Scouting if you can’t commit to fuller leader roles.”
