Two exciting opportunities to join the team at Lapwing Lodge Outdoor Centre – the jewel in the crown of West Region Scouts.
Centre Manager – £35,000 (including housing allowance)
You will lead the operation and development of the centre, working with staff and volunteers to deliver high-quality, safe activities, maintain our facilities, develop business opportunities, and ensure an exceptional visitor experience. This is a varied, hands-on leadership role requiring strong organisational skills, a commitment to customer service, and the ability to inspire and manage a team.
Lead Instructor – £26,000–£28,000 pro rata
You will oversee and deliver our activity provision, lead volunteer instructors, maintain our activity infrastructure, and support the daily running of the centre. We are looking for someone with outdoor activity experience, relevant qualifications (or the willingness to gain them), and a passion for working with people of all ages and abilities.
Nestled in 25 acres of moorland, grassland and forest on the edge of Paisley, Lapwing Lodge offers a 76-bed self-catering hostel, unique Hobbit House accommodation, and a wealth of outdoor activities including high ropes, water sports, archery and more.
